What is a Direct - Wire Adapter Kit?

The Direct - Wire Adapter is an optional accessory that allows you to connect the Valentine V 1.7 or V 1.8 Radar Detector directly to your fuse block or other 12-volt source (leaving your lighter socket free for other uses) and provides one (1) accessory outlet. You could use the outlets to plug up accessories like our round or flat mute button cords or even the Valentine conceal display unit.

This is a simple installation with easy to follow DETAILED instructions.

The Direct - Wire Adapter is approximately 2 inches X 1 inches X 1 inch. It has one outlet to hook up the cord to your Radar Detector and ONE (1) Acc outlet so you can hook up other Valentine accessories.

Normally comes with a T - Tap to connect to a power wire source like below.

If you need a Fuse tap, just let us know which one you would like and we'll replace the T-Tap in your order.

2. Mini Blade Fuse Tap to connect to a mini blade Direct Cord Tap fuse in the fuse box.

Our power cords will allow your radar detector to be hard wired to your vehicle very easily. If you do change vehicles, simply unplug the red wire from the T-tap connector or Fuse Tap, and unhook the black ground wire.

This kit will work on the below detectors that uses the "Modular" type power plug.
